On November 9th,  2020,  Ana Sofia Oliveira, student of the 1st edition of the Master in Data Science, at Faculty of Science of the University of Porto, successfully defended her master's dissertation, entitled "Semantic Role Labeling in Portuguese: Improving the State of the Art with Transfer Learning and BERT-based Models".

The jury was composed by:

- Thiago  Pardo, Professor at the ICMC, University of São Paulo, Brasil (Examiner);

- Alípio Jorge, Professor at the Department of Computer Science, Faculty of Science of the University of Porto (Supervisor);

- Álvaro Figueira, Assistant Professor at the Department of Computer Science, Faculty of Science of the University of Porto (President).

This thesis was co-supervised by Daniel Loureiro, PhD Student at the Department of Computer Science, University of Porto.
